In my faith it’s a big deal for a kid to turn 8. We call it Great to be Eight because they will be baptized. For us turning Eight is the age of accountability. So in celebration of that we like to do a portrait session in their suit or pretty dress. This one is extra special because it’s my oldest son’s Great to be Eight session done in Dallas at the LDS Temple. Couldn’t be more grateful for this child and his incredible sweetness. What a gift to be his mother!
I cannot believe I didn’t post this sooner!! I am behind on some of my posts. Here’s beautiful Andie for her fun Great to be Eight session. Couldn’t have been sweeter. Love this cutie and watching her grow up has been amazing. I started photographing her 3 years ago and cannot believe how grown up she is now. Don’t you love her scriptures??? I love it when you can incorporate your family and heritage into a session!! Eight is so great!!!
It’s a great to be eight session. I really love these sessions because of the meaning behind these sessions. This little girl is getting baptized and 8 is the age for this baptism in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So it’s a beautiful and fun way to celebrate this very memorable occasion. I love to be part of your special memories, recording the big moments in life as well as just everyday life. This little girl was too sweet and a joy to photograph, helping her smile and just realize how beautiful she is was the best part of the day. Hugs Olivia and congratulations on your special day.
